EU Data Strategy – Data Act Implementation and New Data Union Strategy

UK Version of GDPR

The EU Data Act, adopted in December 2023 and applicable from September 12, 2025, is a major milestone in access to industrial and IoT-generated data. It aims for fair data-sharing, contractual transparency, and public-sector access in emergencies. Moreover, the forthcoming Data Union Strategy (Q3 2025) will build on this, pushing harmonization, interoperability, and data sharing standards across AI and public-private data spaces.
