Datatilsynet and NSK Probe Open After DTU Data Breach

UK Version of GDPR

Following a significant data breach at the Technical University of Denmark (DTU), Danish data protection authority Datatilsynet has launched a formal investigation into the incident. The probe will assess how personal data was compromised and evaluate compliance with GDPR obligations.

In parallel, the Norwegian Security and Intelligence Service (NSK) has opened its own inquiry, focusing on potential cross-border data flows and the role of third‑party vendors. Both authorities aim to identify systemic weaknesses and recommend remedial measures to prevent future breaches.
