Cyber Resilience Act Adopted to Enhance EU’s Cybersecurity Framework

The European Union adopted the Cyber Resilience Act (CRA) on October 10, 2024, aiming to improve cybersecurity across the EU by establishing common standards for products with digital elements. The CRA requires manufacturers to ensure that their products meet essential cybersecurity requirements, including incident reporting and automatic security updates. The regulation will apply from December 11, 2027, giving businesses time to comply with the new standards.
