CNIL Closes January 2026 Injunction Against France Travail

UK Version of GDPR

On 23 September 2026, the French Data Protection Authority (CNIL) formally closed the injunction issued on 22 January 2026 against France Travail. The decision was made following a deliberation that confirmed the organization’s compliance with the required corrective measures. The closure does not annul the penalty imposed, as the fine remains in place pending the final settlement of the compliance costs.

France Travail’s adherence to CNIL’s directives led to the resolution of the case, illustrating the authority’s focus on ensuring data protection standards are met while maintaining accountability. The organization is now required to finalize the payment of the stipulated fine, concluding the enforcement action.
